The Power of Internet

This post is in reference to the "The Power of Internet Images" post on the 2017-2018 Digital Art blog (for any involved who have not seen the article, the link is here ). Anyway my response is as following: The five words I would use to describe the Jenny behind the @jennywanderlust account are: self- aware, indulgent, bold, strong, and humorous. She seemed very successful in her portrayal of these characteristics (in particular I find her bold above all else). Jenny perfectly uses the comedy rule of three, in that she creates an account solely to make fun of people to do the exact same... ...I've been bamboozled :c

Lab Signage

The objective of the "Digital Media Lab Signage" project was to create three distinct pieces, each representing the lab and conveying a sense of "high-tech artistry". For my pieces, I decided to take the topic less literally and more figuratively, instead embracing what I believe to be the ideals and mentality of the class.

6 Words Project

The task given for the "6 Words" project, was to take six words (given by another student) and to create a piece representing those six words, while also including the words within the piece. The six words I was given were Keep Calm and Play Ice Hockey. Here is the piece I created: For this piece, I tryed to break away from the very restrictive guidelines the "Keep calm and ____" meme presents, so instead the style was derived primarily from my desire to allude to the "hockey player missing a tooth" cliché. To really draw focus to this element, I decided to go with the silhouette of a hockey player with everything besides the teeth being in stark contrast to the teeth themselves (by means of black/white opposition). From the teeth I also got this feeling of blockiness that I felt I could further in the design with my choice of text. The text also felt thematically in line, with hockey being an activity that would lean towards this genre of typography. Wit
