I was told to make a poster for the upcoming college and career fair. Woooooooo!

The Importance of Art

This blog post is in response to the anonymous quote: "Tax dollars should not be wasted on art, music or theater classes in high school. Public high schools should be about training young people to enter the workforce. Period." Wow. It's amazing just how much 29 words can ruin your day.  If maths and sciences form the skeleton of our world, then art is the brain that makes it all worth it. The arts have always been a way for students to better understand and appreciate both themselves and the world around them. Without the arts, we lose the crucial trait of self awareness that art classes develop, and at such a young age too. More to the point of the quote, the world is always in desperate need of good artists. Without artists we would all live in box homes, with flat lifeless bridges and the same dull grey cloaks. Architects, designers, and fashion designers are just a few of the jobs that require a knowledge of how to practically apply skills learned in art clas

Roller Coaster Tycoon

Quick little gif representing a rather sadistic method to gaining high approval rating in Roller Coaster Tycoon. Could have used a bunch of +1's following the blood, but oof man that's a lot of text layers. (I'll probably do it later...)

Influenza

This poster is totally 11x17. Just tilt your head a bit. The goal of this assignment was to create a poster in some way advising people to get vaccinated or warn people against the dangers of the flu. I decided the "spook em real good" tactic was the most suitable for this situation.  The slogan looks super out of place. But I kinda like the image.
